Mothers Union is a Christian mission organisation working through grassroots membership to support families and communities around the world

 

 

 

 

Diocese of Chichester Trustees 2007

 

Diocese of Chichester Mothers' Union was created in 1891 and now has 71 branches throughout East and West Sussex with members totalling 1835 and also 66 Diocesan Members. As from January 2007 the Diocese was divided into Five Districts each with their own committee. The Action and Outreach Unit supports a number of projects such Parenting, Prison Play Areas, Away from It All Holidays, Contact Centres and Other Smaller Projects.  For more information please Click here

 

The Faith & Policy Unit is concerned to develop our faith and spirituality and puts these into action through our policy initiatives locally, nationally and worldwide. For more information please Click here

 

The Marketing Unit works closely with the other units in the diocese to engage in promoting the work of the Mothers' Union ensuring a consistent message throughout all work in line with the objectives.  To plan and implement local media campaigns and to ensure that media enquiries are dealt with effectively, discerning what stories will enhance the reputation of Mothers' Union.  To devise ways of promoting new membership and support, especially in raising the profile of Mothers' Union in churches. The Marketing Unit is also responsible for Fundraising in the Diocese. For further information Click here

 

Our Members also raise a considerable amount of money for Members overseas and a Relief Fund which are administered by the Central Mothers' Union at Mary Sumner House in London.
