Get "Away From It All"
In line with its aim to help support family life, Mothers' Union set up "Away From It All" (AFIA) a holiday scheme funded by members of the Mothers' Union to help people who wouldn't normally be able to have a holiday.
How much do the holidays cost?
We will provide the accommodation in a Caravan, but families will have to pay for their travel, food and entertainment costs. We will help if we can. Our funds are limited but each year hundreds of families throughout the country have a holiday with Away From It all.
What is the caravan like?

A new caravan was purchased in 2009 and has three bedrooms and can sleep eight persons. The caravan has double glazing and central heating which means that more families can enjoy an Away From It All Holiday any time from April
to October. The site on Winchelsea Beach is family run and we have been
allocated a pitch which faces the beach and is in sight of the
chilren's play area. There is also a club house and launderette. A bus service runs from the beach to the Ancient town of Rye one way and popular Hastings the other - a perfect setting for families who
need a break. The Scheme is funded by Mothers' Union members to help people who wouldn't normally be able to have a holiday, young or old. Referrals come from social workers, doctors, teachers, clergy, health visitors or a Mothers' Union Officer. We have been on this site for the past 15 happy years and hope that many more people in the future can enjoy a break Away From It All
