Mothers' Union Prayer

Loving Lord,

We thank you for your love so freely given to us all.

We pray for families around the world. 

Bless the work of the Mothers' Union
as we seek to share your love
through the encouragement, strengthening
and support of marriage and family life. 
Empowered by your spirit,
may we be united in prayer and worship,
and in love and service
reach out as your hands across the world.
In Jesus' name. Amen

A Sussex Prayer 

Creator God, we give you thanks for the privilege of living in our beautiful County of Sussex. From Chichester with its Cathedral, to Rye with its harbour, from the coast with Beachy Head, to Gatwick with the airport and all the diverse nature in between. May we never forget those living in Countries with drought, Famine and War and pray that you will give them comfort and compassion.

Bless us as we support Mothers’ Union Projects in the Diocese, the Family Contact Centres, Prison work, Parenting  Groups, Gatwick Detention Centres, the AFIA Caravan and all the smaller projects undertaken by our branches and members. Help us as we seek to do your will on earth as you commanded, supporting and praying for those less fortunate than ourselves. As your love surrounds us let our love reach out and surround every one we meet.

We ask all of this in your name, our most loving and compassionate Lord God. Amen
