Local Hospital Support

Hospital SupportMothers' Union has long been associated with supporting local hospitals.

Today, volunteers continue this tradition by providing a thoughtful, practical service in the form of creating and filling toiletry bags for use when someone is admitted in emergency and by knitting hats for premature babies.

Our teams also pay regular visits to hospital wards to provide cakes and treats for the hard-working staff.

Stuffing Hospital bags

In March 2020, members of the Worthing, West Tarring branch were featured on the BBC's Songs of Praise - Mothering Sunday edition discussing, amongst other things, the creation of the toiletry bags.    A clip can be viewed here.
